I've been a very busy bee!

Sorry I have not posted in a few days... I have been very busy! Here's an update:

We've been really busy in our new apartment. We are not officially in yet, but we do have most of our living room moved in (not really decorated yet, but moved in at least!) It is going to look amazing--I can't wait to share pictures with all of you. Here is a little teaser of my new couch (disclaimer: those pillows come with the couch but will not be used in my house!):

I love it! It's suede and has been treated with the scotchguard stuff so we are good to go. It's going to be FABULOUS!

We went shopping for all new furniture and such on Saturday...which was really fun and exciting, except for the fact that I have a chest cold (YUCK) but I am now on anti-biotics so I should be on the mend. I need to be 100% ASAP because we need to finish moving in. I am off Wed., Thurs., & Friday so we will be busy getting everything in and then I will be busy decorating. So... I should have pics by this time next week. I am SO excited.

Now, one final thing this morning, I need to put a prayer request out there for my grandfather. He has been through so much in the past year and a half-- he had skin cancer and then a sarcoma on his leg (very bad cancer) both of which we think he has beaten thanks to surgeries and daily radiation treatments. Recently, he became sick with a chest cold and after several weeks was not getting better. He went to the dr., got antibiotics...still not better. Went back, did a chest x-ray and said he has pneumonia. So, he got more meds...still not better. So they did a catscan and saw that there was a spot on his lungs. Not good news considering his recent history. So he went for some special cancer detecting scan and we found out he has spots on his lung and adrenal glad (which is attached to the kidneys). They go to the oncologist on Monday to decide on how to treat everything. I think both are operable but I hate that he has to go through it all. He is the best! We are staying positive and saying our prayers. So, please pray that we caught everything early and pray the treatment will be minimal yet effective! Thank you in advance for all your prayers!
