Weekend wrap-up

Wow... I can't believe it's Thanksgiving week! Traffic was DEFINITELY much lighter this morning, which I love. I am off Thursday & Friday so I am looking forward to only having a 3 day work week. YAY for that!

My weekend was good... Friday we went shopping for b'day presents for my grandpa & grandma. (His b'day was yesterday & hers is today!) It was fun shopping with the fam & having dinner after! I ended up getting them a joint present that was a big hit...but more on that in a bit.

Saturday I got up and headed over to JC & found out that I lost another 6.1 pounds (see previous post!) I definitely felt victorious! After JC I went shopping because I basically have no more clothes that fit that I can wear to work. It's a good problem to have and I am not complaining but it's hard to get dressed these days. I found some cute pants that work so I bought a few pairs to get me through.

Saturday night I headed out with my friends Christine & Holly for cocktails. It was a fun night... we ended up meeting up with a group of people at The Quarter Bar on McKinney Ave and had a great time. I have been friends with them for a LONG time so it was great to catch up! Sunday we went over to my g&g's to have a little b'day party for them. It was nice to spend time with everyone. I ended up getting them a joint b'day present because they are REALLY hard to shop for. I got them a Brookstone nap cuddle blanket:

They loved it! Especially my grandfather because he will sleep in his chair a lot when he's not feeling well. I am so glad that I was able to get them something they will use. It's seriously the softest blanket! Next time you are @ Brookstone check it out. It would make a FABULOUS holiday gift!!

One last note...say a prayer because today is the day that we find out if my g'pa has another tumor. Please pray that it is scar tissue! God Bless Us!
