Happy Monday...this is a LONG one!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Mine was good-- spent a lot of time with family, which is always a wonderful thing! My aunt & uncle came into town Friday, so we went over to my grandparents for dinner and to watch my cousin's (hour and a half long!!) wedding video. It was amazing, and they captured the event perfectly. Saturday we went shopping and I became re-acquainted with a store I pretty much forgot about...TUESDAY MORNING! There is one really close to me but I never remember to go there, but I have to tell you...it's pretty fabulous!! I got a few things there and will definitely put it on my list of stores from this point forward.

Sunday I ran some errands and then in the evening went to visit with some really good family friends of ours and spent time with their 2 kiddos, Sarah and Seth. I used to nanny S & S (Sarah was 4 and Seth was 3 months 3 months old and now they are 10 and 6!!) They are seriously 2 of the funnest (is that a word?!) kids to be around. Any way, Sarah wanted me to give her a "makeover" with this huge make-up kit for little girls that she got for her birthday, so here is the end result:

Check out those nails! Ahhh... to be 10 again! BTW--Sarah informed me that I should be a make-up artist because "She looks fantastic!" I think I will stick with my day job!

Meanwhile, Seth was bouncing around like a crazy man as he was not too interested in the eyeshadow, lipgloss, glitter & nail polish. This picture says it all:

Now for some creativity...
What do you do when you have a boring white chair and 2 extra euro pillow shams???

YOU MAKE A RUNNER FOR THE CHAIR!!

I also put up some shelves in my room...I love 'em!

Here's another creative use for scrapbook paper...
Use it to cover books for your shelves! I did not like the covers of these 3 books so I covered them in scrapbook paper that I love :)

Who knew scrapbook paper had so many uses?!!

SIDENOTE: Update on my Grandfather
A while back I blogged about my Grandfather and the medical issues he was having. I have not updated about it but am now as we need all the prayers we can get. We found out he has Lymphoma, a type of (curable) cancer. He has one in his lung and one on his adrenal glad. He started chemo therapy 2 weeks ago and has been VERY tired, to the point of (sometimes) not wanting to do anything, which is completely not like him at all. He is usually VERY active for is age (78) and always cracking jokes. So, please add him to your prayers. He has beaten skin cancer as well as a sarcoma (another type of cancer) before so I know he is a strong person, but those were treated solely with radiation & chemo is a whole other beast! I know that a few extra prayers help, so thank you in advance and God Bless Us all!!

A testament to my G'father's awesome spirit...here's a pic of him being "ghetto fabulous" on the day of my cousin's wedding last summer:
