Well, happy hump-day! I have been SO super duper stressed over the past few days. I literally cried all the way to work this morning. I am just struggling with so many little things that are adding up to one very heavy heart. (Mainly work & g'pa) I have to admit that I am feeling better after my good cry this morning, though.

Work is just completely stressing me out. Do you every get the feeling that you work so hard on something for nothing? Welcome to my entire month of December at work. I have worked for hard on getting people placed and NOTHING is following through. Please say a little prayer that my work will pay off at some point in the next 2 weeks. My fingers are crossed!

Let's see... what else...
Oh, I got this cool little heart rate monitor for when I work out and used it yesterday for the first time. I think it made me work out harder. YAY for that. It's like a little mini personal trainer beeping at me to get my heart rate up! GO KELLY GO! That's what those beeps are saying :)

My g'pa started more chemo yesterday & is at the sarcoma specialist as I type this. Please say a prayer for him that he will be feeling better soon!

Now, in an effort to make this a not depressing post I will make a list of things that make my happy:
  • My Christmas cards. I love them & I love addressing them. What I love even more is getting them. YAY! I am going to do mine today :)
  • Christmas music. Love it too. It puts me in a better mood so I am going to play it in my office for the next two weeks.
  • My birthday that is quickly approaching. Only 16 more days! YAY!
  • The cooler temps. It's just plain fabulous.
  • The fact that Christmas is only 12 days away. WOW!

So, there you go... 5 of the things that are making me happy right now. I will stay focused on those things for now. I have noticed that several of you have posted about how stressed you have been lately on your blogs...so I have a challenge for you all. Leave me a comment with one thing you focus on that makes you happy or one thing you do to de-stress. (I need all the ideas I can get!)

(Oh, I "tweaked" my blog layout a bit. I thought it was too "cramped" before. I know it's not as cute but is it easier to read now? Let me know what you think!)

One more thing... my dad does photography as a hobby... he has the whole she-bang of stuff (lights, backgrounds, lens, etc.). Any way, a couple weeks ago he did a photo session for a bunch of my friends. He set up the lights and backgrounds and snapped away. Here are a couple of my favs:

A pedicure and a massage are GREAT de-stressors. I recommend GLOW Salon and Spa in Las Colinas! It's excellent!

I'll say a little prayer for you! I've been super stressed too!

I did get a mani/pedi on Saturday and that helped a little...you should do it!

I don't really know exactly what you do, but I want to say it's recruiting? Am I way off? It sounds similar to what I did for awhile..I worked at a staffing service putting people in jobs. It was a highly stressful job, so I know completely how you feel (well that is if you do what I'm thinking you do!) I definitely hope you get a chance to unwind a bit at Christmas!
