Hey everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend :) Mine was great! Saturday was my friend Joe's birthday and we had a fabulous time. We started out with dinner at Cubra Libre {I ♥ that place!} and then went to Idle Rich {cool bar!} on McKinney Ave. It was such a fun time. Here are some pics {since it's been a while since I posted any and let's face it... they make blogs much more interesting }:

The Birthday Boy,
{That would be MY scarf he is wearing...it was quite popular that night!}
Christine, Misty, Me & Holly
{I ♥ these girls!}Christine & Holly
Misty & I
Holly, Greg & Brian {being silly!}
Not sure what kind of crazy-ness was going on here, but I thought it was funny so I had to post!

It was a great time!! Happy Birthday JOE! =)

My weekend was filled with more... I had dinner with my parents & brother on Friday night, went to JC on Saturday {read more about that below} and went to my parent's for a "Cowboys" party on Sunday. I am still feeling a little bitter about the Cowboys losing. They are a better team than the Giants, they just played T E R R I B L E! Oh, well, there is always next season, right? {Oh, and from this point forward I am officially cheering for Green Bay for the rest of the season...and it's not just because I think B r e t t F a r v e is hot...hee hee}

So, now an update of my healthy lifestyle! I went to JC and discovered I gained a little over the holidays. {No big surprise there...I was pretty much not on JC during the month of December} So, this week I will be working to lose those few pounds that I gained. My plan is to take 4 classes this week at the gym because I have discovered they are WAY more fun! The time passes SO much faster and I feel such an amazing sense of accomplishment when I am finished. Here are the classes I have chosen:

  • Monday - Lift & Tone
  • Tuesday - HI-LOW Aerobic
  • Wednesday - Athletic Workout
  • Thursday - Salsa/Latin Cardio

You know, normally I would have been 'bummed' that I gained during the holidays but I came to the realization that I am not in a race to lose weight, so little hiccups along the way are no big deal. If anything, it reminds me of how easy it is to put on weight if I don't work out and eat right. I did not put this weight on overnight so it's not going to come off overnight. That realization may be the key to why this time will be different for me. I feel so much more aware of what I am doing {and feeling} which I think is half the battle {the other half being the food/exercise aspect}. I am so excited to have all of you who are doing it with me!

The last thing I want to blog about today is the recent "baby boom" I have witnessed over the past week. My sister's best friend, Sarah, had her 1st baby over the weekend. Sarah is like a sister to me and I could not be more excited for her and her husband, Mas. They had a sweet little girl named Saylor Grace and she is precious! Also, last Tuesday my coworker/friend, Barbara welcomed her TWIN grandchildren {they are her 1st grandbabies}. They are doing so well, are good weights (4 pound boy and 5 pound girl) and are so cute. Their names are Sebastian & Isabella. And, my blog friend Annalee had her sweet baby girl, Adelaide. Go visit her blog if you wanna see that sweet little face. That's a lot of babies in a one week period! Congrats to all!

I hope you have a fantastic week! Let me know how all the healthy eating is going!

I gained some over the holidays too! I don't know many people that didn't! Your class schedule for this week looks fun. I think I need to take some classes!

I agree on the baby boom - there are also a TON of people prego right now! Can I say again that I am so happy not to be in that crew!

Good job re-commiting to your plan! That's the key, when you gain a few pounds, don't give up!! Just work harder to get that and more off! You can do it! You'll be so proud of yourself when you do!

I'll be routing for the packers too! Saturday's game was a hard one for me b/c it was the Seahawks (I live near Seattle) and the Packers!! I love the Packers!! Brett Favre, helps that a little!! Hee hee!

Have a great week!
